Increase Your Resilience And Wellbeing

Invest to improve your wellbeing and resilience. Take on board a variety of approaches that blend together to form a comprehensive package of practical actions you can take.

Objectives

At the end of the workshop, you'll be able to:

  1. take on board the characteristics of people with high resilience levels

  2. adopt positive psychology practices

  3. practise day-to-day resilience and wellbeing activities

  4. work towards grounded hope 

  5. connect with nature 

  6. link these approaches to Te Whare Tapa Whā.​

Aimed at: Anyone who wants to improve their resilience and wellbeing and that of their team.

And you'll take away resources and references you can refer to again and share with colleagues.

Kickstart to leadership

Aimed at: People new to leadership who want to develop their leadership skills.

Kickstart is an interactive and highly practical leadership development programme for those who are beginning to lead others. You’ll increase your confidence, competence and capability to focus on your personal development as a leader.

Objectives

At the end of the programme, you’ll be able to:

  1. understand and deliver what people need from leaders

  2. develop your leadership brand by looking at

    • your values

    • your communication style

    • your Top 5 CliftonStrengths

  3. shift from delivering work yourself, to achieving results through others

  4. experiment with different leadership styles

  5. engage and motivate people

  6. build stronger teams

  7. delegate effectively

  8. overcome imposter syndrome.

You’ll complete an online Gallup CliftonStrengths assessment before the workshop, and receive a personalised Top 5 report. You’ll use that report in the workshop.

This workshop builds on your knowledge of the CliftonStrengths model and your own unique combination of talents. You’ll see what makes you unique.

Objectives

At the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to:

  1. understand your complete CliftonStrengths profile

  2. combine and aim your top talents effectively

  3. recognise the balconies and basements of your talents

  4. understand the impact of your bottom five talents

  5. work more effectively with others.

For this workshop, we’ll unlock your Top 5 report to a Full 34. You’ll use this report in the workshop.

Think agile; be agile

Aimed at: Anyone who wants to adopt agile ways of thinking and working.

An agile mindset is the start. Agile ways of working follow on. Take a broad and agnostic view of agile, rather than follow specific practices that may not work for you. Instead, take on board what works, iterate, innovate and be agile about how you’re agile.

Objectives

At the end of the workshop, you'll be able to:

  1. adopt an agnostic agile mindset

  2. question assumptions and innovate

  3. recognise complexity and the fog of the future

  4. iterate and experiment 

  5. apply agile way of working to a variety of contexts.

Understand unconscious bias: what it means for you and others at work

If you have a brain, you have bias. Our unconscious (and conscious) biases affect how we show up at work, view others and make decisions. Often our assessments are instant but false. That’s why reflecting on our biases and working to overcome them is critical.

Objectives

At the end of the programme, you’ll be able to:

  1. appreciate diversity and what makes us diverse

  2. recognise unconscious bias in the context of system one and system two thinking

  3. recognise common biases and how they show up at work

  4. identify where unconscious bias may be at play in your decision making

  5. develop strategies to overcome bias.

Manage yourself through change

We've all got the change message, but let's really explore it in more detail. The result? Greater understanding of how your brain's wired and how it reacts to change. Then we'll work through your change perspective and what you can do to change yourself and change others around you.

Objectives

At the end of the workshop, you'll be able to:

  1. recognise the good and bad of how our brains work, and react to change 

  2. recognise your underlying needs during change 

  3. re-frame change situations and see multiple perspectives 

  4. place yourself on the law of diffusion of innovation scale.

This is a great chance to reflect, learn and grow.
