Tea & Toast: Build better habits

For many of us the New Year means new habits...or at least - we tell ourselves that we'll develop new habits and then fail. How can we build atomic habits that help us, and how do we break the bad habits that are unhelpful? Join Kristen for our first Tea & Toast in 2024 to reflect on this, and more.

About the Event

"...the quality of our lives often depends on the quality of our habits" (p.7)

This quote is from James Clear's book, Atomic Habits, and it's stuck with me for over two years now. We can think about this in a work setting: the quality of our work depends on the quality of our work habits.

For many of us, the New Year means new habits...or at least -- we tell ourselves that we'll develop new habits and then fail. This first Tea & Toast in 2024 is a chance to explore the science of habits, our brain's involvement and techniques we can apply to ourselves and our work.

Where do habits come from?

Which of your habits are helpful?

Which are hindering or harming you?

How do we break bad habits?

How can we develop more identity based habits?

Why habits?

Let's be honest, I still have a ton of bad habits. I scroll on my phone too much. Each morning, much to my partner's chagrin, I've developed a lovely habit of snoozing my alarm multiple times.

So, there's a slight hope that this February Tea & Toast lights a fire under my own bum and forces me to sort out some shitty habits of my own. Come join us in February to see if it works and to share what's worked for you!

So, build Tea & Toast into your 2024 habits and join us at EY, 40 Bowen Street, for some free tea/coffee, toast and nibbles to go along with Kristen's session on habits.

As always, all welcome and no charge.
