September and October Tea and Toast learning sessions
If you haven't been along to a Tea and Toast learning sessions, come along to our October session. They're free and open to everyone.
And that goes for our November session as well. But we decided to have a change, so on Tuesday 21 November we're having Coffee and Croissants instead.
October - What's happening in the public sector?
Whether you're in the sector or not, you'll find something of interest here. Are our structures working? What's happening on the political front in Parliament/Select Committees? What trends should we watch out for? This is a chance to catch up on what's happening in the sector and why.

Plain English Conference - 6th October 2006, Te Papa, Wellington
Well done to The Write Group for organising The WriteMark Plain English Conference and Awards at Te Papa on 6 October 2006. About 150 delegates will hear four international plain English experts from Canada, USA, and Australia.
The objectives of the conference are to:
raise public awareness of plain English
create a public preference for organisations that communicate clearly
help delegates to work towards plain English in their organisations
promote the importance of writing to an agreed plain English standard - either the WriteMark or an organisation's own standard.
