Tea and Toast Learning Sessions - March 2005

If you haven't been along already, then come along to one of our hour-long sessions. They're free and open to everyone. These are our first two of the year!

Humour at work: its role and an update

We're keeping up to date with the latest thinking and research on this as well as developing ideas of our own. This is one of our specialist areas, so spend an hour getting up to speed. You'll have some fun and also discover humour's links with emotional intelligence, leadership and team building.

Workstyle, teamwork, and communication - learn more about your preferences with FutureSelves (Re-arranged from December last year)

For this Tea and Toast we've teamed up with Geoff Plimmer of FutureSelves. They've developed a unique NZ measurement tool that lets you know your barriers to influencing clients and colleagues, to developing your career and working with your team. We think it's a real asset. Come along and learn about it and do a basic FutureSelves exercise.

You have to admit it's a funny name, but it's full of quick and easy to access management information, advice and articles. Topics are arranged alphabetically and range from appraisals to McGregor's x-y theory.

Leadership New Zealand - www.leadership.co.nz

Thanks to the team at ET Extra, Employment Today for reminding us about Leadership New Zealand. (To subscribe to ET Extra, email etextra@brookers.co.nz). Leadership NZ is a not for profit trust set up to focus on developing and enhancing the quality of future leaders. It runs a Leadership Forum for mid career achievers. Applications for 2005 have just passed, but it's still worth checking out the website and keeping up to date with what it's up to.
